Happy National Brownie Day!
The legend of the brownie originated in 1893. Bertha Palmer, a prominent Chicago socialite whose husband owed a hotel, asked a pastry chef for a cake-like dessert suitable for ladies attending the Chicago World’s Columbian Exposition that could be included in boxed lunches and wa-la the brownie was created.
The Chocolatier is a sweet read that will melt well with the chocolate goodie!
